Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, 

even as we hope in you.

My "one word" for 2011 is hope.

Why are you cast down, O my soul,

and why are you in turmoil within me? 

Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,

my salvation and my God.

Psalm 43:5

(I think this verse is extra-important, 

because it's repeated almost identically twice in chapter 42)
